Carter G. Woodson Home National Historic Site

Carter G. Woodson Home National Historic Site Online

We've been celebrating Black History all month! But what do you know about the "Father of Black History?" 99 years ago, in February 1926, Dr. Carter G. Woodson launched the celebration of "Negro History Week," the precursor of Black History Month. Join us for this special Ranger Talk from the Carter G. Woodson Home National Historic Site in Washington, DC, to learn more about Dr. Woodson and the contributions he made to the study and celebration of Black history.

This program is shared with the Greenburgh, Irvington, John C. Hart Memorial, Mt Kisco, Town of Pelham, and Yonkers Public Libraries.
