Digital Literacy - Zoom for Library Patrons In-Person
Zoom is an online (web) video conferencing software that can be used for online meetings and collaborations and online instruction. Because of its functionality, it’s used across a wide range of industries for different reasons. This FREE class will show you how to use Zoom to participate in virtual library programs, and learn basic functions of Zoom including the toolbar and screen sharing.
Class Outline:
- What is zoom (including examples of how zoom has been used)
- Programs scheduled as a Zoom Meeting versus Zoom Webinar
- What does it mean when you’re in a waiting room
- Using Zoom on the computer and on the phone
- - Joining a meeting
- - Leaving a meeting and re-joining a meeting in already in progress
- Zoom features
- Turning video on and off
- Video options(Speaker view, Gallery view, Mini window, full screen)
- How to communicate during a Zoom meeting (Mute and unmute; Chat; Raising hand; Screen share on phone and computer version of Zoom)
- Adding a virtual background
