Marisa Horowitz-Jaffe of Museums with Marisa, leads a program on the science of Ancient Egyptian mummification. We look at pictures of actual mummies and the preservation process. Burying rituals, tomb decorations, Egyptian gods, and Egyptian art and history will also be discussed in conjunction to create a full picture of how mummification fit into Egyptian life.science of Ancient Egyptian mummification. If you would like to participate in the stuffed animal mummification project, please have these items nearby:
-A small stuffed animal (18inches max)
-Roll of toilet paper or adhesive bandages
-Scotch Tape
-Black Sharpie or pen to draw on the mummy and write its name in hieroglyphic
