Dumpling Making Workshop

Celebrate the Chinese New Year season with a special dumpling-making workshop. This fun program is for families, children, teens and adults, ages 6 - Adult, who would like to learn the special tradition of dumpling making.

Instructor: Zeyu Feng

Zeyu FengA talented Chinese language teacher, Ms. Feng inherited her passion in cooking growing up in China and is excited to teach her special recipes of homemade foods. Joining in Chian Institute as a full-time staff in 2020 with advanced degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University, and Hong Kong Baptist University, Ms. Feng will bring her multi-cultural perspectives into this dumpling-making workshop that combines cooking, language, and culture learning. She is looking forward to cooking with you soon!

Ingredients List for Golden Egg-hug Shrimp Dumplings:

Required ingredients:

60g ground pork/beef

12 prawns (with shell on)

8 dumpling wrappers

3 eggs

2 cloves garlic

1 scallion

Olive/peanut oil



Soy sauce


Optional ingredients:

½ cup corn 

1 carrot (diced)

4 mushrooms (diced)

Ginger (minced)

Shredded cheese

Pepper powder

Cooking wine (Shaoxing Liaojiu, or any wine)

Corn starch
